Personal Mail
Privacy policy
Personal Mail uses Google account data to help its owner review and organize email. This public website is separate from the locally operated application.
Data accessed and its purpose
When authorized, the application can read Gmail message metadata and content, labels and mailbox settings. It requests mail-management permission and basic Gmail-settings permission to support reviewing messages, recording decisions, organizing mail and managing native Gmail filters.
Google's mail-management permission also permits composing and sending mail and moving messages to Trash. The application is operated according to the account holder's instructions; granting permission does not itself start sending, deletion or unattended processing.
Local storage
Google authorization tokens are stored locally in private, owner-only storage on the owner's computer. They are not stored on this public website or placed in its source files. Review notes and reusable rules may be retained locally as part of the owner's workflow. The mailbox itself remains with Google.
Authorized assistant services
When the owner directs an assistant service to read, summarize or help act on email, selected message content may be sent to that service. Its processing and retention are governed by that service's terms, configuration and account settings. Local processing does not mean that mail reviewed through an assistant stays entirely on the computer.
Personal Mail does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or run model training on it. This statement describes this application's use; it does not replace an assistant provider's own terms or settings.
Retention and control
Local tokens remain until they are removed, replaced or become unusable. The account holder can revoke Personal Mail's access through Google Account connections and remove local tokens. Local notes and rules, and content retained by an authorized assistant service, are managed separately through their respective storage and controls.
This informational website
These pages have no forms, mailbox connection or embedded advertising and analytics scripts. The hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP address and browser metadata, to deliver and secure the site. No Gmail messages or OAuth credentials are needed to visit it.
Questions and updates
For questions about the application or Google consent, use the support contact shown on the Personal Mail Google consent screen. This policy will be updated if the application's data practices change.
